This milk is sweet and rich; it may be too good to share. I would even serve this milk slightly warmed with some fresh nutmeg sprinkled on top.
Raw pumpkin is full of B vitamins, beta-carotene, and iron. The juice from raw pumpkins is reported to help improve liver and kidney function.

1 cup sugar pie pumpkin, diced
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
¼ cup raw coconut nectar or maple syrup

One bite of this special dessert and you’ll say, “No way is this dairy free! No way is this free of processed sugar and gluten and wheat! And it’s good for me?” Yes, it is! It’s full of “good” fats that can actually lower your cholesterol and help your body burn fat. (Check out “Everything You Need to Know About Coconut Oil” for more information.) Plus you’re getting all the nutrients of raw pumpkin, raw nuts, and carrot juice. It’s a super-delicious super-dessert!

Blend all ingredients in high-speed blender until light and fluffy. Carefully spread on top of cheesecake filling. This should be at the very top of the pan. Place in refrigerator for 4–6 hours until completely set.
Use thin knife to scrape around edges of pan before removing cake from pan. Cut into slices and enjoy!
Are you looking down at that uncomfortable bloated belly, wondering when the last time it is that you saw your toes? Okay, maybe its not that bad, maybe you just feel a little puffy? Or perhaps its just that the clothes aren’t fitting the way they used to and you just feel heavy? Slimming down your middle can be done without counting calories. It is about paying attention to what you are consuming, and make choices to eliminate the 3 major culprits. Take a quick step back and evaluate your intake. Now, take Control of what you are placing in your precious body. Its simple, we all want to be in control and food, is the ONLY and ONE thing in life that we have control over. Thats right, unless you are being force fed, you are in control of every bite you place in your mouth. So, with that new found empowerment, and desire to feel and look the best ever, start eliminating these 3 Toxic foods and lets shrink that Belly.
Step ONE- Know and avoid these 3 foods and watch the weight melt away.
1. Processed foods/Junk foods
If the box or bag the food comes in has an ingredient list that you cannot understand or pronounce, do not eat it. Don’t buy it, don’t hold onto it, in fact, throw it out of your pantry as quickly as possible, because one day it will call on you to come and get it, adding inches to your waistline.. Junk foods, processed foods and fast foods, none of it is real food. All of those mystery ingredients are pure toxins for your body and will not benefit your good health in any way. (Replace with whole foods, fresh grains, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds)
2. Soft drinks, juice, and other sweetened beverages.
These beverages actually increase your hunger. Thats right, anything containing high fructose corn syrup, sugar, and even artificial sweeteners need to be avoided at all costs. They are not only empty calories, but they raise the glucose levels in your body that causes cravings to occur. (Replace with fresh pressed juices that you make yourself, purchase fresh pressed at local markets or juice stands)
Alcohol is loaded with calories, turns to sugar, and adds toxins to the body like no other ingredient , adding instant girth to the tire around the belly. Alcohol stifles the Livers ability to function and process toxins. Toxins = Excess Weight. Excess weight loves to accumulate around the Belly. (Replace with love, joy, laughter, sex and sleep)
Step TWO- Avoid these foods today and experience immediate results. You will feel lighter, less bloat, and an over all sense of joy at the release of these. toxic foods.
Step THREE- Get Naked Fast. When you start eating Naked your body will naturally begin slimming down and over time with consistency will likely stay that way. Know your No’s (no sugar, no wheat, no dairy, no meat, no caffeine, and no alcohol) and stay away from manufactured foods to reduce your silhouette. You will eventually find what foods area a bit resistant, and also find the foods that please you and your lovely frame.

in health and love,
Who is your best choice when it comes to a doctor?
Generally, we don’t go to see a doctor until we are sick. And we are sick because we don’t use the #1 best doctor known to man.
Modern medicine has elevated doctors to a status of gods. When our body breaks down, we turn to doctors for answers. When we don’t feel right, we ask doctors for advice. We have relinquished our trust, our health, and our lives to the hands of the MD gods. And they provide us with the appropriate pill to address the problem.
But what if the #1 best doctor could prevent the problem before it happens? What if you consulted your #1 best doctor daily and you were provided all the answers you needed before turning to medications? What if that #1 best doctor was on call for your health needs 24 hours a day?
Perhaps then we could place our #1 best doctor in a more god-like status.
I was once dependent on my doctors to fix me. In fact, there was a time when my days were filled with doctor appointments. I knew that I didn’t have to feel that way. I knew that I could feel better. The problem was that I wasn’t listening to the #1 best doctor; instead, I was going to medical practitioners for help. It wasn’t that they weren’t trying to help — they were. They provided nice Band-Aids for my booboos so that I wouldn’t have to look at them. That was all they could do. But the “ouchies” started getting bigger and bigger until the Band-Aids no longer helped, but hurt me even more.
If doctors can’t fix you, who can?
“We are always looking for the answer in others because we don’t trust ourselves.”
This quote is from a recent conversation we had on the Naked Challenge, my 10-day detox program. Our daily conference calls create magic and synergy that bring us a greater understanding of health, life, and love. I can feel the light turn on in people when they realize who is in charge of their health.
“A lot of people don’t know there’s something different. All they know is going to the doctor. They don’t realize there’s another option out there, that there’s something better that can be done. When I was a kid, you got sick, you went to the doctor, you got some medicine and you got better. And that’s all I knew. Until my sister got something that couldn’t be healed with a pill. And I looked and looked for what was wrong with her until the day when I came across the answer and it hit me in the face: her food was making her sick. So I took over and said, ‘No thank you’ to the doctors. They weren’t going to make her better. Only she could make herself better.”
~From the June 2013 Naked Challenge
Many years ago, my sister was diagnosed with a tumor the size of a grapefruit. Her doctor told her that surgery was imminent. The doctor planned the surgery 1 month from diagnosis, and my sister was settled into that plan. But she decided to get “healthier” during her wait. She placed herself on an anti-inflammatory diet to help eliminate toxins in her body. She basically ate the Naked Lifestyle: no dairy, no wheat, no sugar, no meat, no caffeine, no alcohol. And a month later, during the surgery, the surgeon had a difficult time finding the tumor. It had shrunk to the size of a walnut. My sister shrunk her tumor and, given another few weeks, she may have eliminated the tumor altogether.
Herein lies the magic of healing.
As Hippocrates once said, “Let Food be thy Medicine, and Medicine be thy Food.”
The #1 best doctor is YOU.
You are the god of your own health. But you can only see as far as you wish to see.
“I gotta have meat.”
“I can’t live without wine.”
I would die without my coffee.”
“I like fast food.”
My response to all those comments is, “Fine, enjoy it.” I am not here to argue with people’s desires. Because I can’t make them see what is behind their poor health until they are ready to see it.
“The most freeing day of my life was finding out I have MS. The freeing part of the illness was that it made me bold. All my doctor said to me was, ‘You have MS. I hope you’re comfortable with this diagnosis.’ This told me that I was on my own. My healing, ultimately, was in my hands.”
~From the June 2013 Naked Challenge
Some people wear their diagnoses like a badge of honor. They list out their prescriptions with pride. They speak of their doctor as their best friend, their confidant, their savior (as I once did). But realize that there is another way. Some people are empowered by their healing choices. They are proud of their health. And they rarely see a doctor.
I honor whatever works for you. And I encourage you to find a path to wellness that meets your needs. If you have been using one method and it’s not working, try another. Try eating for health, vibrance, and beauty. Learn to trust the #1 best doctor: yourself.
Join the Naked Challenge and see the changes that occur in your body. You are 10 days away from a better, stronger, healthier and happier you.

Many of the foods we feed ourselves and our family contain ingredients that are toxic!
Out of convenience, we pick up something from the market and pop it into the microwave without even thinking of the toxic implications it can have on us as well as our children.
We’ve all been guilty of it at one time or another.
There is no judgment here; we are simply creatures of habit and we were taught that these market items are food.
Well, sadly, they aren’t.
For example, here are a few ingredients you may find in a frozen food product that claims to be a ham and cheese croissant breakfast meal:
- Disodium Guanylate
- Magnesium Phosphate
- Potassium Chloride
- Pyridoxine Hydrochloride
The other ingredients are shown in the image to the right. This actually reads like a science experiment, not a meal.
How do we shed the old habit of trusting manufacturers to provide what is best for us and educate ourselves on what are real foods and what aren’t?
Do some homework and become a label reader.
Below are the worst of the worst offenders of toxic buildup.
Otherwise known as …
The 7 Deadly Food Sins
1. High Fructose Corn Syrup is a sweetener made from yellow corn. It is used to sweeten everything from juice to apple sauce. It is the leading cause of weight gain, diabetes, and heart disease.
2. Trans Fats will show up as shortening, partially hydrogenated oil, or hydrogenated oil. As stated in an article from the Mayo Clinic, “Dietary Fats: Know Which Types to Choose,” trans fat increases your risk of heart attack, cancer, diabetes, and obesity. Your body doesn’t know the difference between trans fats and good fats, so if you feed your body trans fat, your body uses it feed your cells. But these “bad fats” don’t act the same way in your body as good fats, leading to degraded bodily function and, eventually, disease.
3. Artificial Flavors such as “artificial strawberry flavor” or “artificial butter flavor” are loaded with countless chemical ingredients. Some sources list at least 50 ingredients that make up the artificial strawberry flavoring found in an artificially flavored strawberry milkshake. Some of the chemicals included are also found in solvents, nail-polish remover, and soap. In addition, artificial vanilla, strawberry, and raspberry flavorings are sometimes enhanced with “castoreum.” Castoreum comes from adult male beavers. It is secreted from their castor sacs along with urine when scent-marking their territory. Artificial flavors can cause indigestion, fatigue, allergic reactions, and toxic build up.
4. Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) is a salty flavoring found in everything from chips to canned soups. It has been known to cause headaches, swelling, and nausea.
5. Artificial Colors are found in cereals, candy, sodas, sports drinks, coated pills, and even cosmetics. They have names like Red No. 40 and Yellow No. 5 or 6. Some colors are made from coal tar and petroleum. Studies have linked the consumption of artificial colors with hyperactivity in children.
6. Artificial Sweeteners – Aspartame, Sucralose, or Saccharin. Many of these sweeteners have been linked to headaches, dizziness, decreasing the amount of good stomach bacteria, and cancer in laboratory animals. Artificial sweeteners are constantly being studied and warnings can be issued years after a sweetener hits the market.
7. Preservatives also listed as TBHQ, Polysorbates (60, 65 and 80), BHT/BHA, Sodium Benzoate, or sulfites. The same preservatives used in food are also used in rubber, embalming fluid, and jet fuels. These have been linked to nausea, allergic reactions, liver and kidney trouble, and infertility.
These “sins” stay stuck in the cells of our body, making us sick. Most of them are made in a laboratory and are synthetic-, chemical-, and poison-based and are used as a cheap filler and preservative for longer shelf life. You can eat them, but at what cost? We were still finding out the long-term effects of eating these artificial “foods.”
What Can You Do?
To detox your body and begin healing it of the “7 deadly food sins,” eliminate all processed foods from your diet immediately and begin juicing today. Start eating REAL foods, NAKED foods, by following the guidelines in my book Get Naked Fast.
If you are ready to really clean your body of toxic poisons, then join The Naked Challenge, a 10-day supported detox and make it part of your seasonal detox by doing the program a couple times a year. This will ensure a periodic cleaning of your body, allowing the toxic build up to flush away. The Naked Challenge will also infuse your life with healthy habits that will keep your body healthy and toxic-free for a lifetime.
In health and love,
With each Naked Challenge I lead (I do one almost every month), I experience the reasons why we cleanse our bodies. With each Challenge, I meet a new group of people who want to have more energy, lose weight, learn how to live a healthy lifestyle, or simply look better in their clothes. On the other spectrum, I also help Challengers with chronic ailments related to diet, a life-long fear and struggle with food, or a stifled spirit.
People of all ages and many parts of the world join for many reasons, all equally valid. And every single person who follows the Challenge sees benefits.
These are the top five reasons you should detoxify your body (and why should join the Naked Challenge to do it!):
1. You have so much energy
Detoxing makes your body run efficiently by cleaning out the buildup of toxins. The toxins that accumulate in your intestinal tract and liver compromise your system. Your body runs slower, setting the stage for chronic illness such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and obesity. Once you start eliminating these toxins, you free your body from the weight of all the toxins, which gives you way more energy for activity, fun, and adventure.
2. You look and feel fantastic
>Clearer eyes and skin
>More restful sleep
3. Your digestive system feels awesome
A detox gives your body a much-needed break. The nutrients from juices, smoothies, and salads are so pure and highly absorbable that they take the work out digestion. Coupled with my Digestive Bitters, which help stimulate bile production and aid digestion, your body will feel truly lighter and cleaner.
4. You’re lightened AND enlightened
My favorite aspect of the Naked Challenge is the overall feeling of enlightenment. What you think will be a purely physical transformation manifests itself spiritually. Each month we have Challengers express how clear-headed they have become, how much they learned about themselves through the discussions and exercises, and how much more focused and happy they feel.
5. Your life is rebooted
The Naked Challenge detox is the ultimate life changer. Not only does it give your body a complete re-boot, it takes the guess work out of eating healthfully. Many people who join the Challenge have bounced from one weight-loss plan to another and are frustrated with all the conflicting advice they receive from well meaning people and programs. They are sick of it!
Some people on the Challenge are tired of taking medications and wish for a natural path to health. Many Challengers have weaned themselves from medications used for a variety of ailments.
Some Challengers want to convert their family’s eating habits. And they do, one meal at a time, giving them the ultimate gift — health.
This is the truest reward: to give my Challengers a sustainable way of living, a clean body and spirit, and healthy habits that last a lifetime.
How to choose a detox program
Not all detoxes are created equal. A true and worthwhile detox should not leave you miserable and hungry. It should not make you feel alienated from your friends and family. A truly effective cleanse will leave you feeling positive and should be something you look forward to doing again.
>Clean out your liver from extra toxins
>Aid in weight loss
>Include digestive enzymes to allow your body to eliminate completely
>Include a manageable diet plan that will restore your body’s nutrients and leave you satisfied and full
>Provide a full support system that provides insight and clarity
The Naked Challenge meets all these requirements. It is a fully guided program that removes the mystery behind cleanses and detoxes.
The next Challenge starts June 9th and is the perfect way to get in your swimsuit and feel cleaner, younger, and more vibrant. More importantly, this detox is an active process and hopefully a life changer for every single Challenger. Do it with your spouse, your siblings, and your friends. I will guide you through it, every step of the way. Now is your time.
Dedicating yourself to a raw-food cleanse for 10 days is miraculously transforming. By doing my 10-day Naked Challenge detox, you can be free from sleep problems, digestion issues, chronic pain, depression, food addictions, and extra weight.
But for some a raw-food diet can be intimidating. And most of the time, the fear stems from the unknown. So let’s uncover some of the most frequently asked questions about the Naked Challenge and perhaps shed some light on how 10 days can be the beginning of the rest of your joyful and healthy life.
No. Juicing on the Challenge is optional and highly recommended, but I encourage Challengers to create a challenge that works for them. That means that it varies from juices, smoothies, wraps, soups, and salads. What you choose to eat and drink is based on where you are currently in your diet lifestyle.
Drinking fresh juice of fruits and vegetables is a must in a healthy lifestyle. Juicing infuses your body with vitamins, minerals, and micronutrients that your body is starved for. By drinking your produce instead of eating it, you let your body easily absorb the nutrients without the work of digesting the fiber. Fiber is great, but part of the Challenge is allowing your digestive system to rest, heal, and reset. So I strongly encourage you to get yourself a juicer and drink juice every day.
Many Challengers drink smoothies as well as juice. Others eat a full raw menu plan and even warm soups. Sometimes Challengers only juice the second half of the Challenge. It is a guided program, but ultimately, we want your success, so you are able to listen to your body and choose how you will get the best results from your Challenge.
2. What do you eat on the Naked Challenge? Will I spend a lot of time in the kitchen?
For example, our Menu Plan suggests a morning smoothie or juice. You open your Recipes book to the “Morning Smoothies” section and choose one of the smoothies provided, like the Morning Burst with orange juice, almond milk, blueberries, spinach, and frozen banana.
For lunch, our Menu Plan suggests several options, one of which is an Energy Wrap. You open the Recipe Book to the Energy Wraps section and choose to make any of the wrap options.
Because you receive the Recipes book days before your Challenge begins, we strongly encourage you to peruse the recipes and make a grocery list based on the options you want to make.
And the daily Menu Plan continues to give you suggestions to create the Challenge that is right for you.
All the recipes are simple and delicious, so the food preparation is fun, not complicated.
3. Is the Naked Challenge the same as the “10-Day Weight Loss Guide” eBook in The Naked Zone?
No. The Naked Challenge is a more intense plan designed for detoxing the body. The “10-Day Weight Loss Guide” is designed for weight loss or for weight maintenance after completing the Naked Challenge. It includes foods that are not on the Naked Challenge because they slow down the detox process.
4. Can the Naked Challenge help me get off my medication for —
Many people who have taken the Naked Challenge began to wean themselves off medications once they started the guided detox. These are medications that they had taken for years. Challengers express how much better they are able to sleep, without the help of sleep aids, and how they have reduced their depression medication. One diabetic man had remarkably improved blood-sugar levels after only a few days on the Challenge and was able to reduce his medications. By following the Challenge strictly (mainly through liquid nutrition), you may begin to reduce your medications (a decision you can make working together with your doctor).
5. I don’t want to lose weight, I just want to get healthier. Will the Challenge work for me?
One of the side effects of detoxing your body is weight loss. However, I can advise you on how to get the health benefits of the Challenge while maintaining your weight.
6. Why the high price? $297 seems expensive. Can I just use information that’s already available in your books and website to do the Challenge?
The information on the Challenge is exclusive to the Challenge and is available nowhere else. In addition to the Naked Challenge Recipes book and Menu Plan, you also receive a Naked Challenge Workbook full of exercises and affirmations about all aspects of life. You also receive an informational email every morning and every night, along with links to recordings of the daily phone calls. And you get personal check-in calls every day with me and the other Challengers as we communicate our progress. These calls get to the heart of the matter. They are much deeper than just what we eat each day — we delve into how to achieve the life we truly want and what’s keeping us from getting there.
The price reflects the amount of time my whole team and I put into preparing each Challenge and the amount of time you get from me during the Challenge. Do you know that if you go to a spa for an 8-day cleanse, you will pay $3,000 to $5,000? And all the meal preparations are done for you so when you get home, you don’t know how to prepare the foods for yourself. On the Naked Challenge, I am training you to do it for yourself so that when the Challenge is finished, you have the knowledge and tools to continue on your own. The value of that is priceless.
You can reduce the price of the Challenge by taking advantage of a discount. We always offer an early registration discount of 10% if you sign up at least a week in advance. There is also a 25% discount for friends or family members who both sign up to do the Challenge together. Repeat Challengers receive 50% off. And members of The Naked Zone receive 20% off (can be combined with the early registration discount and friends/family discount).
7. What time are the calls?
The calls are usually at 6:00 p.m. Pacific/9:00 p.m. Eastern on weekdays and 10:00 a.m. Pacific/1:00 p.m. Eastern on weekends. Occasionally they may change based on my travel schedule. We encourage you to participate in every call, and if you ever don’t wish to speak on the call, that’s OK too. We record every call so that those who are unable to attend may listen to the recordings at a later time.
8. How do we get the materials? Is anything mailed to us?
Everything on the Naked Challenge is delivered to your email inbox each morning. Preparation emails begin 5 days before the Challenge begins. You must read them carefully as they are full of important information. You will receive links to all the documents to download to your computer. You can then view them or print them.
The only items that are delivered directly to your home are the supplements, which I highly encourage you to order as soon as you can so that you are fully prepared. These products aid the detox by assisting in assimilation and elimination of old waste. These supplements are available online (on my Diana Recommends page under Supplements) and arrive in a few days if you are in the continental U.S.
These are the main and most frequently asked questions about the Naked Challenge. Once you begin you will never regret embarking on the BEST 10 days of your LIFE.
If your question is not addressed or if you’d like more information, contact us. We are happy to help.
In health and love,
Memorial Day is first and foremost a day to honor all Americans who have died in service to our nation. People who choose that path have my highest respect.
It also marks the beginning of the summer vacation season and outdoor parties, picnics, and barbecues. I love backyard barbecues but I don’t love all the heavy food, so I have a few tricks up my sleeve to keep me from eating things I might regret:
- Have a smoothie before you go, like a Creamy Mint-Melon Cocktail. This curbs your appetite and gives you a nutrition boost to control your cravings.
- Bring a fresh, raw dish, like a fantastic kale salad, and fill your plate at least halfway with it. Then just sample the other foods.
- Share a dessert that is healthful, “Naked,” and so ridiculously good that everyone will be clamoring to try it, like my Double Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Here are some Naked recipes that are always a hit. And remember — if you choose to go ahead and have a burger or potato salad or pie, enjoy it thoroughly and the next day recoup with some juices (like Diana’s Favorite Green Juice on page 38 of Get Naked Fast!) and smoothies and join my next Naked Challenge detox June 9 – 18.
A light and lemony twist on a favorite dip. Featured on page 67 of my book Get Naked Fast! Stripping Away the Foods That Weigh You Down, a guide to getting healthy and balanced. This hummus is great as a dip or in a wrap. (For another great hummus recipe, see my NEW Sprouted Hummus Wrap recipe in The Naked Zone.

Pecan Pie Treats
These treats are so easy, anyone can make them. For the recipe, see page 104 of my book Get Naked Fast! Or just take a fresh Medjool date, cut an opening, remove the pit (if necessary), and place a raw pecan half inside. Make as many as you need, place them on a nice serving plate, and watch them disappear. Easy peasy!
